Welcome to Portraits for People. A project devoted to providing portraiture services to those without access to them. In a world where less and less images are printed, we strive to preserve the value of portraits as family heirlooms and photographs as artifacts.
The idea was born 10 years ago (2006) when as a wandering photographer I stumbled onto a backyard Quinceaños in rural Rio Hato, Panama. I happened to be carrying a Polaroid 600 that day and quickly became the official party photographer using up all my instant film and capturing these images with my F3. That experienced planted the seed for this project.
